If you want to embed ethical storytelling in your organisation but aren't sure where to start, this course is for you. Over two 3-hour sessions (one week apart), you'll learn practical and cultural steps to create stories that reflect ethics and equity in your work. Steps covered: Reframing your relationship with your job Sharing power in story production Content creation Reframing your audience's relationship Testing & learning Course outcomes: By the end, you'll gain: A deeper understanding of ethical storytelling and how unethical practices show up. Guidance on creating an equity-focused story production process. Knowledge of developing a dialogue-centred consent process. Key questions for equitable content creation. Ideas to engage your audiences and donors in the change. Actionable steps for your organisation. You'll also receive three takeaway documents: Equitable story production checklist Consent as dialogue – action document Equity checker consent creation Q&A Plus, access to an online chat board to continue discussions with participants and share course materials. The programme: This hands-on, practical course is ideal for staff in the aid and development sectors, especially in fundraising, communications, and media. We welcome participants from all over the world, exploring materials from both small and large organisations. Course tutor: Jess Crombie Jess is an academic at the University of the Arts London and founder of Jess Crombie Consultancy. With 20 years of experience in communications leadership, she has worked with organisations like Save the Children and WaterAid. Jess is also a co-founder of the Bond-sponsored 'People in the Pictures' working group, which promotes ethical image practices in the sector.
